Happy Wednesday!  Today’s card is for Sparkle‘s 2010 Christmas Card Challenge.  The challenge this week was to use dry embossing on your card, always fun!

Let it Snow

Happy Tuesday!  Time for another Christmas card for Sparkle’sweekly challenge!  This week the challenge was to use dry embossing, I love my Cuttlebug so this was an easy week once I figured out what I wanted to use.

I ran the Core’dinations whitewash cardstock through the Cuttlebug with the snowflake folder and then sanded it down to reveal the core colour.  I then stamped my snowman, coloured him with Copic markers and added micro fine glitter for the snow.  I layered the card together, stamped and embossed the sentiment and finished it off with the iridescent snowflakes and rhinestones.

Cuttlebug Challenge ~ Be Inspired 28

Happy Wednesday!  This weeks Be Inspired  theme is home sweet home and our sponsor is Marks Paper Company! 

Honestly, I was stumped on what to do this week and then it hit me like a ton of cardstock!  There is no place like home!  I coloured the image with Copic markers and matted it onto Marks paper and then Bazzill.  I ran some Core’dinations cardstock through the Cuttlebug, sanded it and then ran it through again in the opposite direction to make it look like a basket.  I then spritzed the Marks paper lightly with water and gently crumpled it up, then cut it to fit the top of Dorthy’s Basket.  To finish the card I cut a handle, attached a bit of ribbon, wrote out the sentiment and added just a touch of glitter for her ruby slippers.

Cuttlebug Challenge ~ Be Inspired 27

Happy Wednesday!  This weeks challenge at the Cuttlebug Challenge  is to use numbers on our cards or projects!  When I first saw that this weeks Be Inspired theme was numbers I knew right away what I wanted to do!  I had an empty paint can that I had picked up awhile ago to alter, but never got around to it.

I started by running both types of cardstock through the Cuttlebug with the Number collage folder, I then sanded the Whitewash Core’dinations paper and used the direct to paper techinque with a darker green ink  for the Bazzill cardstock. I then cut out the Labels one 2 times and glittered the edges, embossed Craft Fund and attached them both with ribbon.  For the top, I cut out a slit to put the money in and cut 2 scalloped circles to decorate the top!  Now I can save my change for when all the new Cuttlebug folders that are coming out this summer!
