Let It Snow

Happy Monday!  I don’t really want it to snow, but I just love this Making Memories paper and the song!  I used the same Verve sketch that I used early last week, VSOCT09D, for today’s card only I changed it up a little bit.

Christmas Card Challenge #33

Happy Wednesday!  Well I finally got a card made the other day with all of the sick boys were resting!  It felt good to have a little bit of me time again.  As you can see by my title today’s card is another Christmas card for Sparkle’s weekly card challenge.

I have a bit of housework that needs to get done, that I have ignored the last few days, and a trip into town to shop today.  After that is done I think I will be heading to the lake for a swim with the boys as it has been so hot the last few days.  I hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas

Season’s Greetings

In anticipation of the new Verve Stamps holiday release Julee is providing 5 sketches (one per day) from now until Saturday over at Splitcoast, head on over and check out all the details!  I didn’t play along with the last couple of release challenges, but I really like Julee’s sketches, they never fail to inspire me, so I shall try my best to play along this time!  Today’s theme is poinsettia’s (the sample includes a sneak peek of one of the new sets!) so I decided to stick with the theme for my card.

I used Making Memories Fa La La  paper and mounted it onto cardstock.  I then used gold micro beads for the centre of the poinsettia and the sentiment is stamped in cranberry ink.  The rest of the card was quick and simple to put together.
