Thanks so much

Happy Monday!  I was wishing for summer the other day when I made this card, I am tired of the rain and dark cloudy days!  I also wanted to play with a bunch of  new goodies that just came in!  I was not sure about the new Smooch Spritz, I have not had good luck with similar products in the past so I was hesitant to pick this brand up.  This one actually worked well and did not leave blobs of colour when I sprayed it and it dried nicely!  I know I will be adding more colours to my collection.    On this card I masked off the stamped image to create the shimmery gold background.

Happy Saturday!  I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far.   I know my the title of this post is not the most interesting but I’m lacking imagination right now.

Happy Monday!  I had a great weekend!  On Friday I went back to the surgeon and got my test results, she took 23 lymph nodes and all 23 came back clear as well as all the margins!  I will still have to go through chemo and radiation, but to know that we got it early is a huge relief!  Then, Saturday I went to Lisa’s Scrap Shack for a while and had fun colouring my new Magnolia that I had to have!  I also picked up the new Basic Grey Lemonade and June Bug collections!

Case of the Curious Card 4 ~ Gone Fishin’

Happy Friday!  Wahoo, the weekend is almost here!  I have had a busy week, but it always seems to be like this at the end of the school year with all of the activities, meetings and trips.  In only one more month it will be summer vacation!  Today’s card makes me think of summer, with the water and trees and a little fishing!  It is for the Case of the Curious Card  over at The Greeting Farm!

I started by stamping and colouring Ian with Copic markers.  I then went to work on the rest of the card!  LOL I cut off the stamped fishing line and tied a little bit of DMC floss onto the pole with a little wire hook that I made.  I used the Cuttlebug for the sky as well as the trees, and used a new EK border punch for the water.  I added a little glitter to the water with my glue pen and micro-fine glitter and tucked a couple of extra fish in for fun.  If you have any questions about anything else I did please feel free to ask.
