Happy Tuesday!  Today’s card is for Sparkle’s weekly Christmas card challenge.  This week she has a fun sketch to use!

I stamped and embossed the image, and then used the scalloped nestie to cut it out.  I then added some glitter around the edge and fun flock to the cute bear.  I punched out the snowflakes, painted them with Shimmerz and added a rhinestone for a little more bling.  What is a Christmas card without the bling?

Cuttlebug Challenge ~ Be Inspired 23

Happy Wednesday!  Today’s challenge over on the Cuttlebug Challenge blog is to use punches in a creative or different way!  This really was a challenge for me as I do not own a lot of different punches, but I gave it my best shot!

I started by punching what seemed to be a zillion hearts out of different pink cardstock.  I then slightly curled them and started gluing them to a piece of cardstock that I cut in a rough circle.  I let each layer dry before adding the next,  I don’t know if I really needed to do that, but I had to get all of the glue off of my fingers!   Once I had all of the hearts put together I put a Pretty in the centre of the flower and brushed on a bit of Shimmerz to every other layer to help give it even more depth.  I then punched out more hearts in yellow for the butterflies and used the SU! slot punch for the body, and for a place to add the pearls.  The background is the reverse or negative side of the D’vine swirl folder that I sponged some ink onto.  I finished it all off with a Verve sentiment that is embossed and a bit of piercing along the bottom edge.

Happy B-day!

Happy Friday!  I’m so happy that it is finally Friday.  Lee has a job interview this morning, my eyes, toes, fingers, and everything else that can be crossed is crossed for him!  I also needed to get a quick birthday card done so I used the 3rd sketch from Stamps and Smiles. 

Here is a close up of the sign with the shimmerz and embossing.

I stamped the cute little Changitos in Versafine and embossed them with fine detail embossing powder to seal the image before colouring them with Copic markers.  I also used Shimmerz on the sign for a little bit of fun.  I then covered a chipboard 9 with cardstock, trimmed it, added red glitter glue and Diamond glaze and then pop dotted it.  I ran the patterned paper through the Cuttlebug with the Number collage folder for a bit of texture.

Make a wish!

Happy Wednesday!  This morning I decided that I was going to get a card done no matter what!  I also did a bunch of chores, but for the most part I spent the morning playing!  I used Taylor’s  sketch for my card today, I think it is perfect to celebrate a year of cupcakes! 

I had some trouble with the oval shape, but eventually got it when I remembered my old templates from when I first started scrapbooking many moons ago!  I think I need to get the nesties, I wasn’t big on that shape but now I want them too!   So many toys, so little money!
