Happy Birthday Darius!

Happy Tuesday!  Today is Darius’ birthday, I can not believe that he is already 12!!!  It seems like just yesterday that he was a sweet little baby.  This is the card that I made for today, he was very specific about which stamp he wanted me to use when reminding me that I needed to make his card!   He wanted the  “Sparkle music stamp”  otherwise known as Turntable Josh.      I think it is pretty cool that he has a preference, normally he could care less about the card!  LOL

I have some very exciting store news to share today too, Stamp Paper Glue will be carrying the adorable new stamps from Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps!  The new October release is already on the way, I can’t wait!

Drunken Stampers Challenge #16 ~ Use your scraps!

Happy Saturday!  This week’s challenge at the Drunken Stampers is to use your scraps!  I have a ton of scraps, and really need to use them up or get rid of them, but I hate to throw anything away.

This is also Donna’s last week with us at the Drunken Stampers, I am amazed that 3 months has already flown by! I will miss you Donna, but I will still be visiting you and all of your great cards regularly!

I will be at the first Stamp Paper Glue crop all day today with a bunch of great ladies!  I am so lucky to have Spike here to help me with the make and takes and all of the store stuff!  We have been busy girls prepping and packing!  Hopefully I will find some time to colour up a storm so that I have lots of cards to share!

Get Better Soon

Happy Thursday!  I have been so busy this week, I am amazed that I found a few minutes to stop and make a card!  I have been getting the store ready for the crop on Saturday and for Spike’s visit!  I have also been busy running around getting things done at the boys school, the end of the year is always busy!

I am soooo excited, I haven’t seen Spike since August when she came up last!  This time I am in much better spirits, last time I saw her was just after my first round of chemo and my hair was starting to fall out and I was feeling a little yucky.  I’m sure she is curious about my new “spiky” do! LOL  I’m sure by the time she goes home on Monday I am going to be covered in ink from head to toe! 

Okay, onto my card.  Like I said before I only had a few minutes to play and came up with a really quick get well card.  I added the prima flowers to the patterned paper to give it a little extra texture, I’m not sure if I love it, but what the heck, flowers are always good!

I guess I’d better get back to work, Spike will be here just after lunch and I have tons to do before she gets here.  I don’t know if I will be back with a card tomorrow, but I do have posts ready to go for Drunken Stampers and Sparkle’s Christmas Card Challenges this weekend!

Happy Monday!  I have been busy making sample cards for the store for a crop that we are hosting in a couple of weeks just down the road!  I am getting really excited, and going a little nuts at the same time planning everything out!  I know it will be a great day with some amazing ladies!

This is one of the cards I made up on the weekend, I used this weeks Crazy 4 Challenges sketch for my card.  I am just loving the new October Afternoon papers, I think you will be seeing a bunch of cards made with it this week!
