Do I Smell Cake?

Happy Monday!  I wish I could smell cake, I have been craving it for a while now, maybe I will have to make one up this week!  I had a great but busy weekend.  Saturday I had a friend out to visit and we had lots of crafty fun, I was actually productive!  LOL  Sunday I had a ton of  laundry to do and a bunch of getting ready for the week kinda things.  I was able to sneak into my room to play a bit between loads when I thought no one was looking!  ;)

Paper: Bazzill, Prima  Stamps: The Cats Pajamas  Ink: AMuse, Copics  Accessories: Nesties, EK punch, Liquid pearls, Ribbon, Stickles, Button, DMC floss.

I have to run into town for a quick visit with the nurse this morning and then I plan on hiding out in my room and playing!  I hope you have a great Monday and thanks for stopping by!

Warm Wishes

Happy Tuesday!  Today’s card is for Sparkle’s weekly Christmas card challenge.  This week she has a fun sketch to use!

Warm Wishes

Here is a close up of the image to see the detail.

I stamped and embossed the image, and then used the scalloped nestie to cut it out.  I then added some glitter around the edge and fun flock to the cute bear.  I punched out the snowflakes, painted them with Shimmerz and added a rhinestone for a little more bling.  What is a Christmas card without the bling?

Paper:Bazzill, Cosmo Cricket (Oh Joy)  Stamps: The Cat’s Pajamas  Ink:Versafine, CTMH (White)  Accessories: Cuttlebug (Snow dot), Nesties (Scalloped circle), Copic markers, Sakura quickie glue pen, Fun flock, Ek punch (snowflake), Shimmerz, Rhinestones, Glitter Ritz (Warm Highlight), Clear detail ep.

I have a busy day today, so I will keep it short.  I hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

A Gift

Happy Thursday!  I have been busy running around trying to finish up a bunch of stuff for work and at the school the last few days, but took some time out to play the other day.  Aileen calls it ‘ creative procrastination’, I love that phrase!

A close up of the image.

I started this not really knowing what it would be, I just wanted to play with glitter and foil!  I ran the red foil cardstock through the Cuttlebug shiny side down.  I then used a glue pen to fill in the snowflakes.  Once the glue was dry I added the glitter.  I decided to run with the red and green and matted in onto green cardstock and added matching green ribbon.  I stamped the TCP image with Versafine and coloured it in with Sharpies and then went over it again with Spica glitter pens for even more bling!  I then used liquid glass on the red bow for a little more dimension and liquid applique on the pom pom before matting and pop dotting it onto the card.

I was asked a little while ago how I photograph silver or metallic paper.  I use this for all my pictures, otherwise I don’t do anything special.  I hope that helps.   Well I’m off  to get some more house work done and maybe play a little bit!  Thanks for stopping by!

Winter Wishes ~ Mojo Madness #63

Happy Monday!  Only 17 more days until Christmas!  That means only 11 more days and my kids will be out of school for Winter break!  It also means visits from family, Christmas concerts, shopping, decorating and baking like a crazy lady!  Sometimes I really wish that I had more hours in my day to get everything done and still have some time to relax, but as hectic as it gets, I still love this time of year.

I made this card for Julee’s Mojo Madness Contest.  I love her sketches they never fail to inspire me!

I used all TCP stamps again for this card, they are so much fun!  On the larger shimmery white mat, I did some 2nd generation stamping with the large snowflake. I used it again on the white middle band and embossed it with iridescent embossing powder.  I stamped the image and sentiment on the same shimmery white cardstock and coloured it in with sharpies and Spica pens.  The shimmer on this card really does not show up in the picture, but it reminds me of a crisp, sunny winter day!  Here is a second picture, I think the simmer comes out better.
