Not a Christmas card!

Happy Monday!  Only 3 more sleeps until Christmas!  Oh, the excitement, I don’t think I can handle it anymore!  LOL  Actually it is not that bad, the kids are being pretty calm this year, but it is starting to build.

I had to have this set from Close to my Heart when it was the stamp of the month back in September.  Sadly, it has not seen ink until now.  I tried to keep this as simple as I could, so that the image would stand out.  I think that the hardest part of this card was the embossing of the flower, other than that it was super easy and quick to make.  I left it blank so it could be used for any occasion or just because.

Paper:CTMH, Basic Grey  Stamp: CTMH  Ink: Versamark, CTMH  Other:White ep, Kaiser pearls, satin ribbon, pop dots.

I am going to try and get in a little stamping time today, I have been thinking about what to make for Valentines Day and might play around with that for a while!  I hope you have a great day, thanks for stopping by!peg_signature

I’m Still Around!

Happy Saturday!  It has been a crazy busy week with no time to play, but I think that I can finally relax a little bit.  My shopping is done, gifts wrapped, and most of the baking is done!  I’m sure that I will think of something that I have forgotten but I will deal with that then!  The boys are out of school now until the 5th and I am looking forward to skating out on the lake and sledding!  I am not a big skater, but I do have fun out there with them.  😀

I coloured this Whiff of Joy image a while ago and figured I should put it on a card.  I coloured Charlotte with prismacolor pencils and oms except for her skin, I used a Copic E00.  I also use a red Spica glitter pen for the bow.  I then added Diamond Glaze to the bell and liquid applique for some extra dimension.  The rest of the card came together with very little effort, I just used what was sitting out on my desk.

Paper:Bazzill, My Minds Eye  Stamp: Whiff of Joy  Ink: Versafine  Other: Cuttlebug snowdot folder, Liquid applique, Diamond glaze, Copic marker, Spica glitter pen, Prismacolor pecils, oms, snowflakes, mini blue rhinestones, pop dots.

I am going to go and pop Christmas Vacation into the DVD player and relax for a while.  I hope that you are having a wonderful evening.  Thanks for stopping by!

Snowman ~CSAD~

Happy Wednesday!  Well it has been extremely cold here so far this week, more so than usual.  I was busy working and getting some more shopping done yesterday, I really need to learn how to start earlier in the year!  I’m hoping that I will be finished by Friday, and then it is just a matter of  getting the house ready and  finish baking all the cookies for Santa!

This is the last card I made for Susan at ~Card Sketch A Day~

I ran the cardstock through the Cuttlebug with the snowflake folder and then carefully sponged on some blue ink.  I coloured the snowman with BIC and Sharpies before matting.  The sentiment is embossed with clear embossing powder on glossy cardstock and then I sponged on more blue ink.  To finish the card I added some prisma glitter and mini rhinestones.

I have another Christmas concert  to go to tonight, but other than that I have a quiet day, maybe I will find some time to play.  I hope you have a great day, thanks for stopping by!

Howdy!

Good morning!  Only 10 more sleeps until Santa arrives!  This is what I hear many times a day!  I’d better finish my shopping!  There is always so much to do an never enough time at this time of year.  I have another busy day ahead of me, there is a Christmas concert at the school, a last minute costume to make for the concert (don’t get me started on that!) and I have to work tonight.  The only thing keeping me going is that after work tonight I am off until the new year!  Yeah!

Erin sent me a lovely Christmas card along with some very cute images.  I don’t know who these images are made by, but I want them!  Thank you Erin!000_0323I had to play with this guy right away!  I thought that it might work well for the foster kid cards that I am working on.  I coloured him with Prismacolor pencils and oms before cutting him out and mounting him onto black cardstock.    I also cut out , very carefully, the sentiment before matting it as well.  I pierced around the outside of the card and used a black gel pen to add the faux stitching, I then used a stipple brush and ink to give it a slightly distressed look.

Paper: CTMH, Bazzill, Flair  Stamp: unknown  Ink: unknown, CTMH  Other:Making Memories brads, Prismacolor pencils, oms, black gel pen, SU! ticket corner punch, pop dots, unknown star brads.

I am sorry about the pictures being different sizes, no matter what I do wordpress has its own ideas!  I hope everyone has a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

Sparkly Seasons Greetings

Happy Saturday!  Well, I did get a chance to play, and you might say that the weather here inspired this card!  We ended up with 7″ of snow and it is now -12 Celsius and windy out there!

000_0311

To make the base I used some retired CTMH double sided sticker paper on white cardstock.  I then punched out a ton of snowflakes on sticker backing paper, if you want to do this technique always save this stuff!  I then layered on the flakes in a random pattern, once I was happy I used the backing sheet and brayer to make sure that everything was firmly in place.  I then added my first layer of glitter, the darkest colour and burnished.  To do the snowflakes I used very fine tipped tweezers to lift them.  I then added the next colour, burnished and repeated until done with the lightest colour.  I stenciled a snowflake onto the tag and embossed the sentiment.

Paper: CTMH  Ink:CTMH, Versamark  Stamp: Penny Black  Other: Glitter Ritz glitter, Dollar store glitter, satin ribbon, snowflake punches, glittery ep.

We are going to put up the Christmas tree this afternoon, once that is done I may play a little bit more!  Have a great day, thanks for stopping by!

Wow, I won something!

Amazing, but true!  LOL  I never win stuff so I was super excited when I found out that I won some super blog candy for my November Sheetload card!  There were so many great cards made, if you have time check them out in the new Sheetload gallery.  Sheetload is a great place to get new sketches each month and they give you all the measurements to make one card or how to cut for many at the same time.  Great for this time of year and all of the Christmas cards that we need!  I guess you want to know which card I did, well you can see it here

I am going to go up to my playroom today and try to create something new, yesterday I got sidetracked and never got up there.  I will try and get back with something new to share soon, until then I hope you have a great day, and as always thanks for stopping by!
