Farm Fresh Friday!

Happy Friday everyone!  This week’s Farm Fresh Friday challenge at The Greeting Farm is to use lace on your cards.  I didn’t think twice about what I wanted to use this week, Latte Anya is my new all time favoriteTGF stamp, and had to use her right away!

Paper: Bazzill Card Shoppe, Bazzill – Beach House  Stamps: The Greeting Farm – Latte Anya, Viva las Vegas Stamps sentiment  Ink: A Muse, Copic markers Accessories: Lace, Baker’s twine, Prima flower, Button, Pearls.

One more day of work for me and then I am heading back to Mom’s again this weekend!  I hope you all have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Feel better soon!

Happy Friday!  One week down, one more to go with the boys home!  Actually, it has been a good week, I have had time to play and enjoy the boys without all of the hustle and bustle of the normal routine.  I was having some fun today and decided to pick up a couple of digital images from The Greeting Farm.  I want to get a few of the rubber stamps as well, but the one I really wanted was out of stock, so I will wait to order until it is available again.

I printed Riding Hood Anya  onto cardstock and heat set the image before colouring with Copics.  I decided to pull out the old sewing machine and try my hand at a little machine stitching around the edges.  I then put it all together and added the sentiment.  It all came together quite quickly considering I had to pull out the sewing machine and get it all set up.

Paper:Bazzill (Dotted Swiss)  Image: The Greeting Farm (Riding Hood Anya)  Stamp:CTMH (Say It In Style)  Ink:Versafine (Onyx Black)  Accessories:Bazzill flowers (White), Kaiser Pearls (Red), Copic Markers.

I have a bunch of errands to run this morning and then I am off to Kamloops for a crop at Lisa’s Scrap Shack . I will also visit with my mom a little bit and  then get some shopping done on Saturday before heading back home.  I hope you all have a great Friday and Thanks for stopping by!

Be Inspired – Cuttlebug Challenge 20 with Valerie Salmon

Happy Wednesday!   The challenge today over at the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog is a sketch designed by Valerie Salmon.

To create my card, I embossed the cream cardstock with the Just My Type border embossing folder before layering on the patterned paper and embellishments.  For the scalloped edge, I used the mega Nestabilities rectangles, pierced it and then trimmed it to fit.  The sentiment, Thanks, is from the With Gratitude set and the rest of it is hand written.

Paper:Bazzill, Basic Grey (Porcelain)  Accessories:Cuttlebug (Just My Type; With Gratitude), Kaiser Pearls (Pink), Bazzill flowers, Leaf Ribbon, Green and white ribbon, Nestabilities (Mega scalloped rectangles), American Crafts Precision pen (Brown 03), paper piercer, pop dots.

I can’t wait to see how you all interpret the sketch this week!  Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Be Mine

Happy Wednesday!  Wow, where has this week gone?  I guess I have just been super busy with regular everyday stuff, but it still seems to be going fast.  I also have some exciting news, but can’t share it just yet!

I used the Mojo Monday  sketch for today’s card and had lots of fun with it.  I stamped Changito in Versafine ink and heat set it before colouring him with Copic markers.  I used the Swiss dot folder for the red cardstock and the long scalloped rectangle Nestabilities for the black mat.  I cut the acetate heart by hand and then embossed it with the D’vine swirls Cuttlebug folder.  I finished it off with some mini rhinestones along the scalloped edge for a little added bling.

Paper:Bazzill Stamps:Changito (Stampendous), Say It In Style (CTMH)  Ink: Versafine  Accessories:Nestabilities, Swiss Dots and D’vine Swirls (Cuttlebug), Copic markers, Prima flower, Acetate, mini rhinestones, Satin ribbon, SU! slot punch, Button, Brown Floss, pop dots.

The boys will be home from school soon and I have some more chores that need to get done.  I hope you have a great afternoon and as always, thanks for stopping by!

…and they lived happily ever after.

Happy Friday!  I am happy that the weekend has finally arrived, time to kick back and relax a little bit!  Mom gave me a huge box of old photos a while ago that she wants me to scrapbook for her so I took a break from card making today to work on a scrapbook page.  It has been so long since I have done any scrappin’, but I really enjoyed it.  I still managed to add a little stamping into the layout, I couldn’t  go cold turkey!  I was inspired by all of the ladies I met at Lisa’s crop and all of the terrific pages that they make.  😀

It is a very simple page, but I wanted the picture of my grandparents to really stand out.  Punching out the border took the most time, my hand is still sore!  I am still trying to find out the exact date of their wedding, if I am not mistaken I think it was May 1938.  Once I know for sure I will add the journaling.

Paper:Bazzill, CTMH (Colonial White)  Stamp:CTMH (Soul Mates)  Ink:Versafine (Onyx Black)  Accessories:Fiskars Threading water punch, EK Success corner notch punch, Prima flowers, Kaiser pearls (Chino).

I’m going to head back to the playroom and see what else I can come up with.  I’m not sure if I will scrap or make a card, but I hope to be productive!  Have a great evening and thanks for stopping by!

Viva la Verve! Feb01

Happy Monday!  I am off to work for the morning and then the grocery store and a bunch of other errands.  We got another dump of snow yesterday and last night  that needs to be shoveled off of the deck today, I am really starting to look forward to spring.  I think that that is why I went with the colours that I did for this card.  I once again I decided to play along with the Viva la Verve!  challenge at SCS.  The twist this week is embossing

I embossed the background with the Floral Screen Cuttlebug folder and rounded the corners using the small EK corner rounder.  I then stamped and embossed the sentiment with clear detail embossing powder.  Before attaching the sentiment with pop dots I edged it with CTMH Buttercup ink.  The sentiment is supposed to be an oval, but I really did not want to do that by hand again, so I went with a rounded rectangle!  Once again I am wishing that I had the oval nestie set!

Paper: Bazzill  Stamp: Cornish Heritage Farms (Motivational Centers)  Ink:CTMH (New England Ivy, Buttercup), Versamark  Accessories:Cuttlebug (Floral Screen), Clear Detail ep, EK punches (small corner rounder,1/2″ circle),  Peggy’s Pretties (White wine), SU! build a brad, Prima flower, Satin Ribbon, pop dots, mini glue dots.

I hope that you all have a great day, and as always thanks for stopping by!

A Valentine for SFYTT & OCC!

Happy Sunday!  How are you all enjoying your Sunday so far?  Are you watching the big game?  We are not big football fans here, so I am just relaxin’ and getting some play time in before another busy week.  I took a few days off from stamping to get some other things done around here and try to recharge the mojo.  Sometimes I just need to step away and not think about it.  What do you do when you are stumped and just can’t seem to make anything?  Today I decided to give it a try again and used the Sketch for you to try  over at i{heart}2stamp after looking around a little bit more I realized that this card also works for the OCC challenge this week!  Yeah me, two challenges in one card, it has been a while!

I embossed the shimmery brown cardstock with the Cuttlebug heart block embossing folder and matted it onto the light pink cardstock.  I then covered some Maya Road chipboard hearts with the same cardstock and went around the edges with some distressing ink.  Once I matted the hearts I filled in the 2 small hearts with magenta Stickles.  I finished it all off with the 2 ribbons and brand new Peggy’s Pretties.

Paper:Bazzill, Shimmery Brown (unknown), Basic Grey (Bittersweet)  Ink:Tim Holtz Distressing Ink ( Antique Linen)  Accessories:Cuttlebug (Heart Blocks), Maya Road Chipboard (Hearts), Peggy’s Pretties (Raspberry), Stickles (Magenta), Pink Grosgrain Ribbon, Mini Glue Dots.

I am going to go and make some dinner and make the kids lunches for tomorrow and then maybe head back to my playroom for a little while.  I hope you have a great evening!  Thanks for stopping by!
