Happy Thursday! How is everyone today? The weather here has been beautiful and I have been busy getting things done! I finally got a chance to sit down and play for awhile yesterday with a bunch of goodies that I picked up from Lisa’s Scrap Shack. I just love this Cosmo Cricket paper and Penny Black stamp.
I stamped the image and embossed it before cutting it out with the Labels one Nestie. Before I took it out of the die I used Distressing ink and a stipple brush to age it a little bit. I then coloured the image with Copic markers and clear Spica glitter pen, I think you may be able to see a little bit of it on the orange flowers. I then pierced the edges on the top half of the card, added the ribbon and Pretties. I finished it off with a hat pin through the knot and rounding the bottom corners.
Paper:Cosmo Cricket (Everafter Collection) Stamp: Penny Black (Fanfare) Ink:Versafine (Onyx Black) Accessories:Copic markers, Spica pen, Nestablities (Labels One), Lace, Hat pin, Peggy’s Pretties (Orange), Fine detail ep, Ek corner rounder (small).
I have a bit of laundry to get done, I want to take advantage of the nice weather and hang it out side while I can. I hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
Happy Wednesday! Wow, where does the time go? I can’t believe that it is Wednesday already, but you know what that means right? It is time for another instalment of Cuttlebug Challenge ~ Be Inspired ! This week the challenge was to make an Easter project with embossed vellum.
I decided to make a little Easter basket filled with goodies for this weeks challenge. The box is 4″ square and 1 1/2″ tall, so I started with an 7″ square and scored it at 1 1/2″ on all all sides and folded it up. I then cut 2 strips of vellum 2″x11″ and then used the Fiskars Threading water punch before running the strips of vellum through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder. I then attached it to the base with double sided tape and decorated it with a puffy flower, ribbon to hide the adhesive and a few rhinestones for some bling.
I coloured the bunny with Copic markers and Spica pens, cut him out and attached him to the box with glue dots. I made the flower by running a piece of vellum through the Bug with scalloped nesties and then again with the Swiss dot folder. I finished it off with a button and tag that says ‘Happy Easter’. I really like how this little project turned out, maybe I will try another one again soon!
Paper: Bazzill, Vellum Stamp: unknown Ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black) Accessories:Cuttlebug (Swiss Dots), Nesties (Sm Scalloped Circle), Button, Rhinestones (Walmart), Puffy flower (Dollar store), pop dots, Copic markers, Spica pens.
I am off to check out all the fablous creations that the other DT members have made and then I am off to the grocery store. I hope you all have a great day & Thanks for stopping by!
Happy St. Patty’s Day! Just a quick post for me today. I have been busy and have not had a lot of time to play, but I made this cute little Riley card a while ago just for today. 😀
I coloured Riley with Copic markers and added green Stickles to the shamrock in his hand, I also used a yellow Spica pen for the gold and the buckle on his hat. I punched the shamrocks out of some DCWV Christmas glitter stack that I had left over in my stash. The rest of the card was pretty simple, but if I have forgotten something please feel free to ask.
Paper:Bazzill, DCWV (Christmas glitter stack) Stamp: Hanna Stamps (Riley) Ink:Versafine (Onyx Black) Accessories:Cuttlebug (Swiss Dots), Fiskars punch (shamrock), Stickles (green, yellow), Copic markers, Spica glitter pen (yellow), SU! slot punch, satin ribbon.
I am off to play for a bit, and then I am off to work. I hope you all have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
Happy Tuesday! We have had snow on and off for the last couple of days here, when will winter end? It is pretty, but I am so ready for it to go away now.
While I was blurfing yesterday I found a brand spankin’ new stamp company Stamps and Smiles. I loved the sneak preview and plan to go back again today to see the next image! While I was there I decided I would play along with the sketch challenge that they have for a chance to win the new stamps.
This card was so much fun! I stamped the cupcake kitty from Pink Cat Studio with Momento ink and coloured it with Copic markers. I then went back over the hearts with a clear Spica pen and topped that off with a touch of Diamond glaze. The rest of the card came together quickly once I figured out which patterned paper I wanted to use.

Happy Tuesday! I have more exciting news to share with everyone today. Lisa the owner of Lisa’s Scrap Shack has asked me to be part of her very first Design Team! Check out the store’s blog later today for more details!
When I stopped by on the weekend to pick up my new goodies she also gave me some American Crafts paper, from one of her great scrapbooking kits, to play with!
I stamped the image with Memento Ink and coloured it with Copic markers. I also added a little bit of bling to the flowers with the clear Spica glitter pen, but it does not show up in the picture. I then embossed the bottom of the card with the With Gratitude Cuttlebug folder. I finished off the card with a Prima flower and Peggy’s Pretties.

Happy Sunday! I wish it was a cupcake kind of day and a fairy would come along to help clean up this house! I’ve been busy trying to get this disaster of a house organized, and it has not been going well. I think I am losing the battle! It is amazing how much junk 5 people can collect over a year! I decided to take a break today and play along with the Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge. I received this image from a Bella swap and just love it so much, it is so cute and was lots of fun to colour.
I coloured the image with prismacolor pencils and oms and added a little bit of Shimmerz to the wings, but I don’t think that you can see it in the picture. I also used Spica glitter pens to colour in the flowers and added a rhinestone flower to her head band. I then finished it off with a little bit of liquid applique on the cupcake. Now if only everything else around here was this easy!
Paper:Basic Grey, Bazzill Stamps: Stamping Bella, MFT Ink:VersaMark, CTMH, image unkown Accessories:Spica glitter pens, Shimmerz, Queen & Co rhinestone, Liquid applique, Prismacolor pencils, oms, Kaiser pearls, Prima flowers, fine detail ep, Fiskars punch.
Well, it is back to work for me! I hope you all have a great day and as always thanks for stopping by!
Happy Friday everyone! I am so happy that the week is over, between the crazy weather here and our hot water heater blowing it has been a tad stressful! We are still waiting for the new tank to arrive so I am still having to heat water as needed, not fun! I did have one bright spot when my very first sets of My Favorite Things stamps arrived. Wahoooo! They came at the perfect time too, Michelle over at SCS just announced a guest designer challenge. It is a doozie too, only 1 layer! I love my layers so this was a real thinker for me.
I started by embossing the middle of the card with a nestie, labels one. I then masked the area off and random stamped the background. Next, I removed the mask, stamped and coloured my image with Copic markers. I added a little glitter with a Spica glitter pen to the sentiment as well as the bon bons before topping them with liquid glass. I then traced the embossed area and small dots in the background with a glue pen and added bronze microfine glitter. I then taped the edges of the card and used pink and bronze micro fine glitter to make a burnished velvet a frame for the whole card.
Paper: HammerMill Stamps: MTF-How Sweet It Is Ink: Memento-Tuxedo Black & Rich Cocoa Accessories: Sakura quickie glue pen, Glitter Ritz micro fine glitter, Nestabilities, Copic markers, Spica glitter pens, liquid glass, Terrific tape.
I am going to go and heat some water to do the dishes and then head back up to play some more before the boys get home from school. I hope you are having a great day and thanks for stopping by!
