A Thank you

Happy Thursday!  How is everyone today?  The weather here has been beautiful and I have been busy getting things done!  I finally got a chance to sit down and play for awhile yesterday with a bunch of goodies that I picked up from Lisa’s Scrap Shack.  I just love this Cosmo Cricket paper and Penny Black stamp.

A Thank you

I stamped the image and embossed it before cutting it out with the Labels one Nestie.  Before I took it out of the die I used Distressing ink and a stipple brush to age it a little bit.  I then coloured the image with Copic markers and clear Spica glitter pen, I think you may be able to see a little bit of it on the orange flowers.  I then pierced the edges on the top half of the card, added the ribbon and Pretties.  I finished it off with a hat pin through the knot and rounding the bottom corners.

Paper:Cosmo Cricket (Everafter Collection) Stamp: Penny Black (Fanfare)  Ink:Versafine (Onyx Black)  Accessories:Copic markers, Spica pen, Nestablities (Labels One), Lace, Hat pin, Peggy’s Pretties (Orange), Fine detail ep, Ek corner rounder (small).

I have a bit of laundry to get done, I want to take advantage of the nice weather and hang it out side while I can.  I hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Cuttlebug Challenge ~ Be Inspired 26

Happy Wednesday!  Wow, where does the time go?  I can’t believe that it is Wednesday already, but you know what that means right?  It is time for another instalment of Cuttlebug Challenge ~ Be Inspired !  This week the challenge was to make an Easter project with embossed vellum.

Cuttlebug Challenge 26

I decided to make a little Easter basket filled with goodies for this weeks challenge.  The box is 4″ square and 1 1/2″ tall, so I started with an 7″ square and scored it at 1 1/2″ on all all sides and folded it up.  I then cut 2 strips of vellum 2″x11″ and then used the Fiskars Threading water punch before running the strips of vellum through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder.  I then attached it to the base with double sided tape and decorated it with a puffy flower, ribbon to hide the adhesive and a few rhinestones for some bling.

I coloured the bunny with Copic markers and Spica pens, cut him out and attached him to the box with glue dots.  I made the flower by running a piece of vellum through the Bug with scalloped nesties and then again with the Swiss dot folder.  I finished it off with a button and tag that says ‘Happy Easter’.  I really like how this little project turned out, maybe I will try another one again soon!

Paper: Bazzill, Vellum  Stamp: unknown Ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black)  Accessories:Cuttlebug (Swiss Dots), Nesties (Sm Scalloped Circle), Button, Rhinestones (Walmart), Puffy flower (Dollar store), pop dots, Copic markers, Spica pens.

I am off to check out all the fablous creations that the other DT members have made and then I am off to the grocery store.  I hope you all have a great day &  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy St. Patricks Day!

Happy St. Patty’s Day!  Just a quick post for me today.  I have been busy and have not had a lot of time to play, but I made this cute little Riley card a while ago just for today.  😀

St. Patty's Day

I coloured Riley with Copic markers and added green Stickles to the shamrock in his hand, I also used a yellow Spica pen for the gold and the buckle on his hat.  I punched the shamrocks out of some DCWV Christmas glitter stack that I had left over in my stash.  The rest of the card was pretty simple, but if I have forgotten something please feel free to ask.

Paper:Bazzill, DCWV (Christmas glitter stack)  Stamp: Hanna Stamps (Riley)  Ink:Versafine (Onyx Black)  Accessories:Cuttlebug (Swiss Dots), Fiskars punch (shamrock), Stickles (green, yellow), Copic markers, Spica glitter pen (yellow), SU! slot punch, satin ribbon.

I am off to play for a bit, and then I am off to work.  I hope you all have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Hello Cupcake!

Happy Tuesday!  We have had snow on and off for the last couple of days here, when will winter end?  It is pretty, but I am so ready for it to go away now.

While I was blurfing yesterday I found a brand spankin’ new stamp company Stamps and Smiles.  I loved the sneak preview and plan to go back again today to see the next image!  While I was there I decided I would play along with the sketch challenge that they have for a chance to win the new stamps.

This card was so much fun!  I stamped the cupcake kitty from Pink Cat Studio with Momento ink and coloured it with Copic markers.  I then went back over the hearts with a clear Spica pen and topped that off with a touch of Diamond glaze.  The rest of the card came together quickly once I figured out which patterned paper I wanted to use.

Paper:Bazzill, American Crafts (Everyday)  Stamps:Pink Cat Studio (Kiki Kitty)  Ink:Momento (Tuxedo Black)  Accessories:Copic markers, Nestabilities (small scallop circle), Spica glitter pen (clear), Diamond Glaze, SU! slot punch, Making Memories brads, White Grosgrain ribbon, paper piercer, pop dots.

I have a huge pile of laundry to do today, maybe between loads I will sneak into the playroom for a bit of fun!  Have a great Tuesday and thanks for stopping by!
