My Mojo Is Missing!

Happy Wednesday!  It has been 3 weeks since I last made a card and I think my mojo is officially missing.  It really should not take me days to put a card together and then still not be 100% thrilled with it.  Lee figures that I just need to make up a few cards, even if I don’t like them, and then my missing mojo will reappear and I will be going full steam again.  I’m not so sure about that, but I may just have to give it a try.  Today’s card took way too long for my liking considering the simplicity of it, I just could not get what I had envisioned out.

 Missing Mojo bella

Paper: Bazzill, Patterned paper ? (I used scraps and can’t remember)  Stamps: Stamping Bella  Ink: Versafine  Accessories: Brads, Ribbon, Copic markers, SU! punch, Liquid pearls, Sakura Stardust pen.

I have a bunch of chores that need to get done today and then I am going to go and look at some wigs.  I haven’t lost my hair yet, but I want to be ready for when it happens.  I’m not really worried about it, but want it mostly for when I am at the kids school.  Anyways, I hope that you have a great day and as always thank you for stopping by!

Happy St. Patricks Day!

Happy St. Patty’s Day!  Just a quick post for me today.  I have been busy and have not had a lot of time to play, but I made this cute little Riley card a while ago just for today.  😀

St. Patty's Day

I coloured Riley with Copic markers and added green Stickles to the shamrock in his hand, I also used a yellow Spica pen for the gold and the buckle on his hat.  I punched the shamrocks out of some DCWV Christmas glitter stack that I had left over in my stash.  The rest of the card was pretty simple, but if I have forgotten something please feel free to ask.

Paper:Bazzill, DCWV (Christmas glitter stack)  Stamp: Hanna Stamps (Riley)  Ink:Versafine (Onyx Black)  Accessories:Cuttlebug (Swiss Dots), Fiskars punch (shamrock), Stickles (green, yellow), Copic markers, Spica glitter pen (yellow), SU! slot punch, satin ribbon.

I am off to play for a bit, and then I am off to work.  I hope you all have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Cuttlebug Challenge ~ Be Inspired 22

Happy Wednesday!  This weeks challenge over at the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog is to use glitter on our creations!  We were also lucky enough to have Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps sponsor us this week and provide the design team with some really cute digital stamps to use on our cards.  I think I may just be hooked on them now!

I printed out my image, coloured it with Copic markers and trimmed it down to the size I wanted it to be.  I then added Stickles to the balloons, once they were dry I added a little bit of Diamond glaze for some added shine.  I ran a piece of cardstock through the Cuttlebug with the Argyle embossing folder and paired it up with some of the pink American Crafts paper. I matted everything together and finished the card off with 2 large white brads.

Paper:Bazzill, American Crafts (Moda Bella)  Stamp: Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps (Birthday Balloons)  Accessories:Cuttlebug (Argyle folder), Copic markers, Stickles (Magenta, Turquoise, Lime Green), Diamond Glaze, SU! slot punch, White Grosgrain ribbon, White Brads, pop dots.

I hope that you all have a wonderful Wednesday, I can’t wait to see what everyone does with this weeks challenge!  And as always thanks for stopping by!

Hello Cupcake!

Happy Tuesday!  We have had snow on and off for the last couple of days here, when will winter end?  It is pretty, but I am so ready for it to go away now.

While I was blurfing yesterday I found a brand spankin’ new stamp company Stamps and Smiles.  I loved the sneak preview and plan to go back again today to see the next image!  While I was there I decided I would play along with the sketch challenge that they have for a chance to win the new stamps.

This card was so much fun!  I stamped the cupcake kitty from Pink Cat Studio with Momento ink and coloured it with Copic markers.  I then went back over the hearts with a clear Spica pen and topped that off with a touch of Diamond glaze.  The rest of the card came together quickly once I figured out which patterned paper I wanted to use.

Paper:Bazzill, American Crafts (Everyday)  Stamps:Pink Cat Studio (Kiki Kitty)  Ink:Momento (Tuxedo Black)  Accessories:Copic markers, Nestabilities (small scallop circle), Spica glitter pen (clear), Diamond Glaze, SU! slot punch, Making Memories brads, White Grosgrain ribbon, paper piercer, pop dots.

I have a huge pile of laundry to do today, maybe between loads I will sneak into the playroom for a bit of fun!  Have a great Tuesday and thanks for stopping by!

Be Mine

Happy Wednesday!  Wow, where has this week gone?  I guess I have just been super busy with regular everyday stuff, but it still seems to be going fast.  I also have some exciting news, but can’t share it just yet!

I used the Mojo Monday  sketch for today’s card and had lots of fun with it.  I stamped Changito in Versafine ink and heat set it before colouring him with Copic markers.  I used the Swiss dot folder for the red cardstock and the long scalloped rectangle Nestabilities for the black mat.  I cut the acetate heart by hand and then embossed it with the D’vine swirls Cuttlebug folder.  I finished it off with some mini rhinestones along the scalloped edge for a little added bling.

Paper:Bazzill Stamps:Changito (Stampendous), Say It In Style (CTMH)  Ink: Versafine  Accessories:Nestabilities, Swiss Dots and D’vine Swirls (Cuttlebug), Copic markers, Prima flower, Acetate, mini rhinestones, Satin ribbon, SU! slot punch, Button, Brown Floss, pop dots.

The boys will be home from school soon and I have some more chores that need to get done.  I hope you have a great afternoon and as always, thanks for stopping by!

2 cards today!

Happy Thursday!  I actually didn’t make both of these cards today, our internet was down yesterday due to all of the nasty weather here.  I can’t believe how much I depend on email and the web on a daily basis!  I’m just glad to have it back up.  Both of these cards are for the Verve Stamp Looking for Love challengeon SCS.

This card is for sketch #3.  I switched the sentiment and image around but otherwise I did follow the sketch.  It was also fairly quick to put together once I figured out what I was going to put where.

Paper:Bazzill  Stamp: Verve  Ink: Memento, VersaMark  Other:  EK corner punch, Kaiser rhinestones, clear detail ep, ribbon, SU! photo corner punch, DMC floss,  pop dots.

This is the final card for the challenge this week.  My favourite part of this card is the one that you can not see in the photo!  After I ran the white cardstock through the cuttlebug I used a VersaMark Dazzle ink pad in frost and sponged it all over giving it a light shimmer.  I love these new inks!  They work just like your regular VersaMark, but have just a tiny bit of sparkle too!

Paper: Bazzill  Stamp: Doodlebug  Ink:Clearsnap, VersaMark Dazzle  Other:Cuttlebug, clear detail ep, Shimmerz, Glitter Ritz glitter, Sakura quickie glue pen, Kaiser pearls, Nestabilities, ribbon, pop dots.

I’m going to go and make a big pot of soup for dinner tonight and try to stay out of the snow!  I hope you all have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Good morning!  Only 10 more sleeps until Santa arrives!  This is what I hear many times a day!  I’d better finish my shopping!  There is always so much to do an never enough time at this time of year.  I have another busy day ahead of me, there is a Christmas concert at the school, a last minute costume to make for the concert (don’t get me started on that!) and I have to work tonight.  The only thing keeping me going is that after work tonight I am off until the new year!  Yeah!

Erin sent me a lovely Christmas card along with some very cute images.  I don’t know who these images are made by, but I want them!  Thank you Erin!000_0323I had to play with this guy right away!  I thought that it might work well for the foster kid cards that I am working on.  I coloured him with Prismacolor pencils and oms before cutting him out and mounting him onto black cardstock.    I also cut out , very carefully, the sentiment before matting it as well.  I pierced around the outside of the card and used a black gel pen to add the faux stitching, I then used a stipple brush and ink to give it a slightly distressed look.

Paper: CTMH, Bazzill, Flair  Stamp: unknown  Ink: unknown, CTMH  Other:Making Memories brads, Prismacolor pencils, oms, black gel pen, SU! ticket corner punch, pop dots, unknown star brads.

I am sorry about the pictures being different sizes, no matter what I do wordpress has its own ideas!  I hope everyone has a great day, and thanks for stopping by!
