Beate’s Weekend Sketch Challenge

I’m sitting here wondering where the weekend went, I did not do anything big or exciting, or even productive for that matter, and now it is time to get ready for another week.  I did manage this card for Beate’s weekend sketch challenge.

I tried to pick a few of the colours from the Basic Grey paper, but with so many to pick from I had a hard time!  I coloured the owl with prismas & oms and used black stickles for his eyes, then cut him out and pop dotted him to the branch.  I ran the brown cardstock through the cuttlebug, paper pierced the corner of the dark green cardstock and finished with the orange glittery leaves that I cut out.  I could not find a sentiment that I liked for this card so I left it blank until I find one.

Paper:Bazzill; CTMH; Basic Grey  Stamp: Pink Paislee  Ink: Memento  Other:Cuttlebug; Satin ribbon; glitter ritz; stickles; pop dots; prismacolor pencils; oms.

I hope that everyone is having a great weekend!  Thanks for stopping by to take a look, and as always I’d love to hear from you!

A Card Challenge & 4 types of glitter!

Whenever I get stuck, or just seem to have no creative juice I always fall back on Christmas cards.  They really are my favourite cards to make year round.  I’m sure that I should be pretty close to done now for this year, but that won’t stop me!  I used the OCC sketch for this card, another Bella and tons of glitter!

I coloured the Bella with prismacolor pencils and oms (big surprise!)  then I used fun flock mixed with prisma glitter for the hat and boots and finished her off with a bit of lime green stickles for the buttons.  I used white crystal snow glitter on the snow flakes that I punched out and ran through the Xyron sticker maker, I also outlined the Making Memories paper with a glue pen and then same glitter.  The green dots on the top paper have moss green glitter ritz micro fine glitter on them as well, but the picture does not show that well.

Paper: CTMH; Bazzill; Making Memories  Ink: CTMH; Versamark  Stamps: Bella; CTMH  Other: Prismacolor pencils; OMS; Sakura glue pen; Amuse simple stick; Fun Flock; Prisma glitter; Crystal snow; Glitter Ritz; Stickles; Clear detail EP; snow flake punches; pop dots.

I have a few other projects on the go right now, hopefull I will find time to finish them off and share with you soon.  Until then, thanks for stopping by & happy stamping!

A Bella Christmas

It has been a busy week here, not giving me much time to create.  I was in Vancouver over the weekend for my grandmothers 85th birthday bash, it was great to see all of my family again and it gave the boys a chance to play with their cousins.  Unfortunately, I did not have time to stop at all of my favourite stores, but I did hit the LSS by Aileen’s place and I picked up a stamp that I have been lusting over for months now!  I also got to see Aileen for a few minutes when we swapped boxes of goodies!  We talk on the phone all the time, but I still miss living close by.

I really had to search to find my mojo yesterday when I got a chance to play, but I am happy with what I made in the end.

When I saw this Making Memories paper, I had to have it!  I used a glue pen and prisma glitter to add sparkle to the snow flakes, as well as the glitter on the wreath and fun flock mixed with glitter to Bella’s hat and boots.  I don’t think that the fun flock shows up very well in the picture though.  Otherwise, I coloured Bella with prismacolor pencils and oms and matted everything on Bazzill card stock.

Paper: Bazzill; Making Memories CS  Stamps: Bella; CTMH  Ink: Versafine  Other: prismacolor pecils; oms; sakura glue pen; prisma glitter; glitter ritz; fun flock; Peggy’s Pretties; satin ribbon.

I hope that I get a chance to play today, but it is already looking doubtful.  I have to shop, drop off some stuff with a friend, do some prep for work and have a kid home sick today!  Thankfully, Lee is home and can help look after Darius, or I would not get anything done!  I hope you all have a great day, and thanks for stopping by for a visit.

Look what came in the mail!

I was so excited when the mail came today to find this great card waiting for me from my SBS sister Sarah!  It made my day, thank you so much!  I just love the image, I may have to get one of these Bellas myself.

I’m not sure what Sarah used, supplies wise but I’m sure if you wanted to know she would share how she made the card.  😀

Thank you again, I love it!
