Happy Wednesday!  I picked this stamp up from my stampin’ friend Donna.  When I saw that she was getting rid of it I had to have it, I have been looking for a ‘hydrangea’ type stamp for a little while and I love this one.  I’m not sure if it is a hydrangea, but I think it looks pretty close so that is what I am going to call it!  LOL

I may have cursed myself the other day when I said it had been too hot to stamp, the last 2 days have been stormy and really cold.  I hope that things warm up again so that we can enjoy the beach again!

Happy Monday!  I finally have the house back to myself, spring break is finally over and we are back to our regularly scheduled program!  Today’s card is for the Weekend Sketch Challenge #74. 

I coloured the image with Copic markers and added a little bit of Diamond Glaze to the coffee in the mug.  I then used a stipple brush and Distress ink to tone down the whiteness of the oval.  The rest of the card was quick and easy to put together.

Viva la Verve! Feb01

Happy Monday!  I am off to work for the morning and then the grocery store and a bunch of other errands.  We got another dump of snow yesterday and last night  that needs to be shoveled off of the deck today, I am really starting to look forward to spring.  I think that that is why I went with the colours that I did for this card.  I once again I decided to play along with the Viva la Verve!  challenge at SCS.  The twist this week is embossing. 

I embossed the background with the Floral Screen Cuttlebug folder and rounded the corners using the small EK corner rounder.  I then stamped and embossed the sentiment with clear detail embossing powder.  Before attaching the sentiment with pop dots I edged it with CTMH Buttercup ink.  The sentiment is supposed to be an oval, but I really did not want to do that by hand again, so I went with a rounded rectangle!  Once again I am wishing that I had the oval nestie set!

Happy Friday!  I am so happy that it is the weekend, time for some serious play!  Liam was thrilled by all of the lovely comments that you left for him, so much so that he went back up stairs to start working on his next card to share with you!  Today’s card is for the Friday Hanna Challenge  over at SCS.  The challenge is a colour one, something I don’t normally do, but I thought that it might be fun.  The colours are burgundy, pink and yellow!  I’m not a big fan of yellow, so this was a challenge for me.

I’m still not sure about the yellow bedding, but I like the rest of the card.  I think that this one is pretty self explanatory, but if you have questions let me know and I will answer them for you.
